Job Overview: In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. You will review and analyze multi-faceted, larger-scale, or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Additionally, you will contribute to resolving complex and multi-faceted situations requiring a solid understanding of functional policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables. Collaboration and consultation with client personnel will be a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities: - Consult on complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact.
- Analyze and resolve multi-faceted software engineering challenges.
- Collaborate with client personnel to meet deliverables and compliance requirements.
- Develop and execute performance test strategies, plans, and reports.
- Conduct automation testing and update performance scripts for scrum teams.
- Analyze application performance metrics and identify bottlenecks for tuning.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications: - 5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
- 7+ years of experience in performance testing of Java-based applications and distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with JMeter and/or BlazeMeter for load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.
- 5+ years of experience with Selenium for test automation and regression testing.
- Proven experience in test case design, test script development, execution, and results analysis.
- Strong understanding of application performance metrics and performance tuning.
- Experience analyzing JVM, application server, database, and infrastructure performance.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Nice to Have: - Experience with AI-assisted development/testing tools like GitHub Copilot or Devin.
- Experience testing and validating applications for ADA (Accessibility) compliance.
- Experience with Playwright for modern web application automation.
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL Server queries for test data preparation and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, or Grafana.

Pay Range: $65.00 - $70.00/hr on W2
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
