Role: Web Developer /WordPress Website Developer
Location: Salem, Oregon (Onsite / Possible Hybrid)
Duration: 03/23/2026 05/08/2026
Work Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM PST (8 hrs/day)
Candidate Preference:
- Local candidates within 100 miles of Salem, OR preferred
- Senior candidates with 12+ years of experience strongly preferred.
Important Notes:
- Some evening or weekend work may be required during deployments.
- First few days must be onsite for system setup.
- Client prefers 100% onsite, though hybrid may be considered depending on workload.
Position Summary:
The Client is seeking an experienced Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain modern, user-centered web applications. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional development experience, strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, and hands-on WordPress development experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain websites and web applications.
- Ensure all digital content meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with UX designers, content strategists, and project managers.
- Build custom WordPress themes, templates, and plugins.
- Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and reliability.
- Implement security best practices and support ongoing maintenance.
- Troubleshoot issues, debug code, and conduct testing.
- Document code and system configurations.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional web development experience.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
- Hands-on experience implementing WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WordPress development (themes/plugins).
- Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, or other server-side technologies.
- Experience with REST APIs or headless CMS architectures.
- Experience working in public sector or enterprise environments.
