We are looking for an exceptional UX Researcher to guide innovations in Microsoft's Marketplace. You will shape both product strategy and experience design for new AI and agentic experiences through a combination of generative and evaluative research. Working collaboratively with design, product, and business partners, you will combine qualitative and quantitative data to drive evidenced based decisions, and to represent the voice of the user. Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute mixed-method research across the product lifecycle, from problem definition through solution validation and launch, that drive evidence into product decisions.
  • Identify target customers, needs, journeys, and market trends.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data, as well as external research findings, into actionable insights.
  • Communicate customer stories effectively, to influence diverse stakeholders and overall product direction.
  • Collaborate with others for cross-disciplinary research efforts resulting in strong product outcomes.
  • Embed accessibility, privacy, security, and inclusion throughout research.
  • Experiment with AI solutions to accelerate your own work and share learnings across the UX research community.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 1+ year(s) User Experience Research experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 2+ years User Experience Research experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications
  • 1+ year(s) relevant domain experience within technology sector.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in research methods impacting both product direction and detailed experience design.

UX Research IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,100 - $202,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800 - $219,200 per year.
