Network Architect 10+yrs (w2 only )

We are seeking a highly experienced Network Architect to lead enterprise-wide network transformation initiatives, data center modernization, and cloud connectivity strategies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing scalable and resilient network infrastructures, implementing Zero Trust security principles, and driving modernization initiatives across data center, WAN, cloud, and hybrid environments.

This role will be responsible for designing future-state network architecture, leading migration initiatives, implementing high-availability solutions, and ensuring secure and optimized connectivity across enterprise systems and cloud environments.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
10+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture roles
Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise network architectures
Proven expertise with Layer 2/Layer 3 network design and data center architecture
Experience designing hybrid WAN and SD-WAN solutions
Strong understanding of cloud networking and hybrid connectivity
Experience implementing Zero Trust network security models
Expertise in high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and resiliency design
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Network Architecture & Strategy
Lead migration initiatives from traditional 2-tier architectures to scalable 3-tier Core–Distribution–Access architectures
Define and execute future-state network architecture roadmaps aligned with business growth and scalability goals
Develop and maintain comprehensive High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
Design network segmentation strategies using VLANs, VRFs, and security zoning
Define Layer 2 and Layer 3 topology standards including routing boundaries and failover domains
Data Center & Infrastructure Architecture
Design and deploy highly available colocation (Co-Lo) data center network infrastructure
Lead data center migration projects including workload placement and migration planning
Redesign access and distribution layer networks to improve scalability and resiliency
Optimize server access and fabric extender architecture for performance and redundancy
Architect high-availability solutions across data center and colocation environments
Network Security & Zero Trust
Architect East-West and North-South traffic control strategies using Palo Alto firewalls
Implement Zero Trust architecture principles with identity-based controls and Aruba ClearPass integration
Develop and enforce zone-based firewall policies across:
Edge environments
Data centers
DMZ environments
Ensure secure and optimized network traffic segmentation and access controls
WAN & SD-WAN Architecture
Design and optimize hybrid WAN environments across:
MPLS
Internet
SD-WAN
Lead VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN deployments
Develop application-aware routing and policy design
Architect resilient branch and WAN edge connectivity solutions
Cloud & Azure Networking
Design and implement Azure hybrid connectivity using ExpressRoute
Configure BGP routing with redundancy and failover mechanisms
Design hub-and-spoke Azure architectures integrated with on-premise infrastructure
Ensure secure and optimized traffic flow between cloud and on-prem environments
