Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sybase Replication Server Consultant responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting data replication solutions using SAP Sybase Replication Server (SRS). The candidate will ensure high availability, data consistency, and performance optimization across distributed database environments.

Key Responsibilities

Replication Design & Implementation

Design and implement replication architectures using Sybase Replication Server.
Configure and maintain real-time and batch data replication across multiple environments.
Set up and manage replication definitions, subscriptions, and routes.

Administration & Monitoring

Install, configure, and upgrade Sybase Replication Server components.
Monitor replication processes to ensure data integrity, latency, and availability.
Troubleshoot replication issues such as data mismatch, replication delays, and failures.
Perform regular health checks and performance tuning.

Database Integration

Work closely with Sybase ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) and other databases (MS SQL, SAP systems).
Support heterogeneous replication environments.

Performance Optimization

Analyze replication performance and implement tuning strategies.
Optimize network usage, latency, and resource utilization.

Support & Issue Resolution

Provide L2/L3 production support for replication issues.
Diagnose and resolve data inconsistencies and replication failures.
Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and documentation. Migration & Upgrade
Plan and execute replication migrations and upgrades.
Support data migration and system consolidation projects. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain technical documentation for replication setup, configurations, and procedures.
Ensure adherence to security, audit, and compliance standards.
