We are looking for an experienced Java Lead Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and cloud technologies to lead the design, development, and implementation of highly scalable applications for the banking and financial services domain.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on banking applications, financial transactions, payments, customer/account systems, lending, cards, or other financial platforms and will provide technical leadership to development teams.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, establish development standards, and mentor Java developers.
• Develop scalable and secure RESTful APIs and backend services supporting banking and financial applications.
• Work closely with business analysts, architects, product owners, and banking stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Develop applications supporting banking transactions, customer accounts, payments, financial products, and enterprise workflows.
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures with high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Integrate applications with internal and external banking systems using REST APIs, messaging, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Work with Kafka or other messaging platforms for event-driven financial applications.
• Implement secure application practices including authentication, authorization, encryption, data protection, and audit logging.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and provide technical solutions for critical banking applications.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, estimation, and release planning.
• Ensure solutions comply with banking security, regulatory, audit, and data privacy requirements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Java/J2EE development experience
• Strong experience with Java 8/11/17+
• Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Security
• Strong Microservices development experience
• RESTful APIs / Web Services
• Kafka / messaging systems
• SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing
• Excellent troubleshooting and production-support skills
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills
