Description
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead contract-based initiatives within a dynamic telecom services environment in New York, New York. This Contract position will oversee cross-functional efforts, keep priorities aligned with business goals, and ensure projects move forward on schedule and within scope. The ideal candidate brings structured project leadership, strong stakeholder coordination skills, and the ability to manage delivery using formal project management practices and Agile Scrum methods.
Responsibilities:
Direct end-to-end project execution, from initial planning through final delivery, while maintaining clear timelines, scope, and milestones.
Coordinate with teams across multiple functions to align resources, resolve dependencies, and support successful project outcomes.
Build and maintain detailed project plans, status updates, and risk logs to provide visibility into progress and potential issues.
Lead project meetings with stakeholders, ensuring decisions, action items, and expectations are clearly documented and communicated.
Apply formal project management standards and Agile Scrum approaches to organize work, track delivery, and improve team collaboration.
Monitor budgets, schedules, and project performance metrics, escalating concerns and proposing corrective actions when needed.
Partner with business and operational leaders to clarify objectives, define deliverables, and manage changes in project scope.
Support process or system-related project activities when required, ensuring implementation tasks are coordinated with minimal disruption.
Drive accountability across workstreams by following up on commitments and removing barriers that may affect delivery timelines.
Requirements
Proven experience managing projects in a detail-oriented project management environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
PMP certification or a comparable formal project management credential.
Strong knowledge of project planning, risk management, scheduling, and status reporting.
Hands-on experience working within Agile Scrum frameworks.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to present updates clearly to leadership and team members.
Ability to manage several moving parts at once while maintaining attention to deadlines and quality expectations.
