Genesis10 is currently seeking a Full Stack Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This position is for a full stack Java developer focused on automating both infrastructure and software delivery. The role involves providing software services for server delivery teams and software developers, working with enterprise groups to provide low-touch capabilities across a wide domain. The successful candidate will utilize DevOps platforms and tools as well as middleware systems.
Responsibilities: - Act as a full stack Java developer to automate both infrastructure and software delivery
- Provide software services for server delivery teams and software developers
- Work with enterprise groups to provide low-touch capabilities across a wide domain
- Work with DevOps platforms, tools, and middleware systems indirectly
Requirements: - 10+ years of industry experience in design and development of applications and services in an Agile, Scrum, and Lean environment
- Excellent development skills in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Angular, Oracle, and MSSQL (Full stack developer - UI, backend, APIs, SQL)
- Experience with DevOps, Linux OS, Cloud platforms, and Middleware (Tomcat or JBoss)
- Strong knowledge of design patterns and best practices in web services, full stack system architecture, and system integration
- Experience with orchestration technologies, GIT, and continuous integration (CI) / continuous delivery (CD) pipelines
- Good understanding of object-oriented principles, system design and diagraming, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience in the full system implementation lifecycle (analysis, design, build, test, implement, and support)
- Experience with using IDEs like VS Code and Eclipse
Desired skills: - Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge and/or experience with DevOps and CI/CD Integration
- Knowledge of Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration systems
- Experience with delivering Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Soft skills: Open and clear communication, Teamwork, Time Management, Flexibility, and Creativity
