Job Title: SAP BTP Track Lead (CPI Integration) / Senior Technical Specialist
Location: Fremont, CA (Bay Area)
Duration: Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of SAP BTP and ABAP on HANA solutions.
- Design and develop scalable SAP S/4HANA customizations using ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, and OData Services.
- Lead SAP Fiori/UI5 application development including Fiori Elements, Launchpad configuration, deployment, and security.
- Design and implement SAP BTP side-by-side extensions using CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).
- Build enterprise integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, and Connectivity Services.
- Define technical architecture, High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and development standards.
- Drive Clean Core principles and SAP extensibility best practices.
- Perform code reviews, performance optimization, ATC checks, SQL Monitor analysis, and technical governance.
- Mentor ABAP, Fiori, and BTP development teams while ensuring delivery quality.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders.
- Manage transports, CI/CD pipelines, abapGit, SAP Cloud ALM, and Solution Manager.
- Evaluate emerging SAP technologies including ABAP Cloud, Steampunk, RAP, Joule AI, and AI Foundation.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of SAP development experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP on HANA development.
- Minimum two end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects as Technical Lead.
- Strong experience with SAP BTP development and architecture.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI) (Mandatory).
- Strong expertise in:
- ABAP on HANA
- CDS Views
- AMDP
- RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
- SAP Gateway
- OData V2/V4
- Strong SAP Fiori development experience:
- SAPUI5
- Fiori Elements
- Flexible Programming Model
- Launchpad Configuration
- Smart Controls
- Smart Templates
- Experience with:
- CAP Model
- Business Application Studio (BAS)
- XSUAA
- Destination Service
- Connectivity Service
- API Management
- Event Mesh
- Experience with CI/CD, Transport Management, abapGit, and Cloud ALM.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, or PP.
