Entry-Level IT Support / Technical Support Specialist
Location: On-site - Wappingers Falls, NY (5 days/week)
Schedule: 35 hours per week
Pay Rate: $20-$22/hour
Overview
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start an IT career in a hands-on support environment. The role offers exposure to enterprise systems, ongoing learning, and long-term growth. Ideal for entry level candidates, individuals with entry-level IT certifications, or students currently pursuing a technology-related degree. In this position, you will provide first-level technical support to internal users, field technicians, and customers, ensuring systems remain operational and issues are resolved efficiently.
Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues (Windows OS, Office 365, VPN)
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and equipment provisioning
  • Provide remote support to field technicians and users across the organization
  • Log, track, and manage support tickets using ServiceNow or a similar ticketing system
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or specialized support teams as needed
  • Deliver a professional, customer-focused support experience

Qualifications
  • Recent IT certification (CompTIA A+ or Google IT Support preferred) or recent graduation from a technology-related program
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work on-site five days per week
  • Willingness to learn and grow within an IT support environment
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to client requirements

Nice to Have (Not Required)
  • Internship or previous help desk experience
  • Exposure to ServiceNow or other IT ticketing systems
  • Experience supporting remote users or working in a corporate IT environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
