Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Engineer to support a fast-paced, enterprise environment by performing advanced wireless packet capture, troubleshooting, and wireless network optimization activities. This role will focus on diagnosing and resolving MAC-layer performance issues while ensuring secure, reliable connectivity across a complex wireless infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize Cisco wireless packet capture tools to perform on-demand access point, client, and SSID-level captures
• Troubleshoot and resolve MAC-layer, authentication, and client connectivity issues
• Analyze and diagnose MAC-layer performance degradation using metrics including:
• CCA busy percentage
• Channel utilization
• Transmit retries
• MCS distribution
• Airtime fairness
• Optimize wireless network efficiency using best practices and innovative solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless wireless network operations
• Document and maintain detailed records of configurations, issues, and resolutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco wireless packet capture tools
• Strong understanding of wireless networking protocols and standards
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP Wireless (or equivalent certification)
• Experience supporting wireless environments within enterprise healthcare settings
• Experience with wireless network design and implementation
• Familiarity with network management and monitoring tools
