Systems Programmer III

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Systems Programmer for a contract position in Columbia, SC. The opportunity will be for six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Monitor system health:
- Review logs
- Monitor alerts
- Ensure servers and critical services are running smoothly
Perform operational support for zVM environment:
- Work tickets
- System upgrades
- Disaster recovery exercises
Ensure systems are stable, secure, and ready for workloads

Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Or related field
OR 4 years of job-related work experience
OR 2 years of job-related experience + Associate''s degree in CS/IT or related field
Minimum 4 years of IT experience
Must include varied programming experience

Required Technologies

zVM
RACF
Operations Manager
IBM Backup and Restore Manager
IBM Tape Manager

Preferred:
