Summary
Location: Wilmington, DE
Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: $77–$87/hr on W2
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with strong enterprise application development experience, microservices architecture, AWS, and AI-assisted software engineering. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing and developing secure, scalable, cloud-native applications.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Experience developing Microservices and REST APIs.
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
Experience with NoSQL databases, especially Cassandra.
Strong AWS cloud development experience.
Enterprise-scale application development and system design.
Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, application security, and resiliency.
Experience with cloud-native engineering and production troubleshooting.
Experience using enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, code reviews, refactoring, testing, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-quality production code.
Build scalable software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and AWS.
Review, debug, and improve code written by other developers.
Promote AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational efficiency.
Establish standards for validating AI-generated code through secure coding practices, peer reviews, and automated testing.
Identify opportunities to automate recurring issues and improve application stability.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to evaluate technical solutions and architecture.
