Job Description (JD)
We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Okta IAM Engineer with 7 10 years of experience and a strong engineering mindset to design, implement, and automate enterprise identity solutions. The candidate will be responsible for delivering Okta Workforce Identity solutions including SSO, MFA, and lifecycle management, while building scalable automation and integrations using Okta APIs, hooks, and workflows.
The ideal candidate brings strong IAM fundamentals, hands-on software development experience, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional engineering, security, and business teams. This role requires a balance of hands-on implementation and solution design, with a focus on security, scalability, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support Okta Workforce Identity solutions
- Configure and manage Okta SSO, MFA / Adaptive MFA, and Lifecycle Management
- Develop and maintain integrations using Okta APIs, Inline Hooks, and Event Hooks
- Automate identity policies, workflows, and provisioning processes
- Implement SCIM-based user provisioning and deprovisioning
- Build and consume REST API integrations with internal and external applications
- Collaborate with application, security, and infrastructure teams on IAM architecture
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Enhance and optimize identity governance and access policies
- Provide technical guidance and documentation for IAM solutions
