Job SummaryJob DescriptionJob Summary: The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst drives Medline's enterprise BI strategy with minimal supervision, leading the architecture, development, and governance of scalable reporting and advanced analytics solutions. Acting as a subject matter expert, this role partners closely with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to define and standardize KPIs, streamline reporting frameworks, and promote enterprise adoption of modern BI and data platforms, including Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Tableau.
The Senior Analyst establishes and enforces best practices across data modeling, semantic layer design, visualization standards, and performance optimization. Leveraging capabilities within Fabric-such as integrated data engineering, lakehouse architecture, and unified analytics-and Power BI for enterprise reporting and self-service enablement, this role ensures high-performing, secure, and governed solutions.
Major Responsibilities: - Partner with Directors, VPs, and functional leaders to align BI strategy with business priorities and drive enterprise-wide adoption of analytics.
- Translate strategic goals into measurable KPIs and standardized reporting frameworks.
- Lead the design and governance of BI architecture, semantic models, and pipelines across Power BI, Fabric, and Tableau.
- Oversee performance tuning, scalability, and data governance standards across all BI solutions.
- Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to analysts, reviewing deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and performance.
- Champion best practices in dashboard design, storytelling, and data visualization to drive clarity and business impact.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process automation, data quality improvements, and cost savings through advanced analytics.
- Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on requirements, data definitions, and solution delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex BI platform and data integration issues.
Minimum Job Requirements: Education Bachelor's Degree.
Work ExperienceAt least 5 years in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering, with progressive responsibility.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise BI reports and dashboards using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Tableau.
- Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows using Alteryx and Fabric data pipelines to prepare, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and define standardized KPIs.
- Build and maintain scalable data models and semantic layers to support reporting needs.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization across BI solutions.
- Apply and follow established BI governance, security, and best practices.
- Provide user support and promote adoption of BI tools across the organization.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities- Advanced SQL development, optimization, and data modeling.
- Experience with modern ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Alteryx, Fabric Pipelines).
- Deep understanding of data visualization best practices and semantic modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to define KPIs and translate business objectives into data solutions.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills; able to guide teams in delivering high-quality solutions.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to influence executive-level stakeholders.
Preferred Job Requirements: Education Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Math, Engineering or other related field.
Work ExperienceExperience with SAP S4, financial data, and enterprise-scale data warehouses.
Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$92,000.00 - $138,000.00 Annual
The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
