This position oversees daily technical support, infrastructure performance, cybersecurity practices, and business-critical applications in a legal environment. The role is ideal for a hands-on technology leader who can balance strategic planning with responsive end-user support while helping the organization maintain secure, reliable, and efficient systems.

Responsibilities:
Direct the firm's overall technology function and serve as the lead resource for IT planning, issue resolution, and operational performance.
Provide timely technical assistance to attorneys and administrative staff by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issues.
Support and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and meeting room technology to ensure dependable day-to-day operations.
Administer the Microsoft 365 environment, including email services, collaboration platforms, file storage, user provisioning, permissions management, and security controls.
Coordinate employee onboarding and separation activities from an IT perspective, including equipment setup, account changes, access management, and protection of firm data.
Maintain and improve network infrastructure across offices, including wireless access, internet service, firewall administration, VPN connectivity, and related systems.
Travel periodically to other office locations to deliver on-site support, complete installations, assist with infrastructure projects, and address technical issues.
Oversee legal and business software platforms, including document management, case-related systems, billing tools, and other core applications used by the firm.
Manage backup processes, disaster recovery readiness, business continuity measures, vendor relationships, technology purchasing, licensing, and IT documentation while identifying opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs.
Develop IT policies, strengthen cybersecurity awareness efforts, support security questionnaires and audits, and assess new technologies such as automation and AI tools for secure productivity improvements.

Requirements

At least 7 years of progressive IT experience, ideally within a legal, detail-focused services, or similarly fast-paced business setting.
Proven success independently managing the technology needs of a small to midsized organization.
Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, including user accounts, permissions, collaboration tools, and security settings.
Solid technical knowledge of Windows-based environments, Active Directory, endpoint support, networking, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and related infrastructure.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and end-user support issues effectively.
Experience working with backup technologies, business continuity practices, and cybersecurity controls to protect organizational operations and data.
Background managing external vendors, service providers, software licensing, and technology contracts.
Willingness and ability to travel periodically to support additional office locations as business needs require.
