The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, analytical discipline, and a practical understanding of enterprise data platform engineering.

This role requires someone who can engage effectively with platform owners, architects, engineers, security, infrastructure, governance teams, and business stakeholders. The individual will help organize complex platform priorities, support governance processes, align stakeholders, and enable leadership to make informed investment and roadmap decisions.

This is not a hands-on data engineering role. The successful candidate does not need to design or engineer data platform solutions. Instead, they will connect business strategy, platform capabilities, governance requirements, and portfolio execution into clear and actionable plans.

High-Level Project Overview

Data Platform Engineering enables reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-effective data platforms that support analytics, AI, operational reporting, and enterprise decision-making.

As data platforms continue to evolve, there is a need for a strategic technology professional who can connect business priorities, platform investments, roadmaps, governance requirements, and engineering execution.

The Business Technology Analyst will work with platform owners and bridge Data Platform Engineering leadership, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and delivery teams. The role will help align platform investments with business outcomes, technology strategy, governance standards, and enterprise objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Platform Product Owners and business stakeholders to drive platform strategy, governance, portfolio management, and technology alignment across the enterprise.
• Support the development, maintenance, and execution of multi-year platform roadmaps aligned with business objectives, technology priorities, and emerging industry trends.
• Identify platform capability gaps, risks, dependencies, and investment opportunities while facilitating roadmap prioritization and strategic planning discussions.
• Establish and support governance processes for platform investments, demand intake, prioritization, and portfolio management.
• Evaluate, assess, and prioritize platform initiatives and capability requests, including development of business cases and investment recommendations.
• Translate business objectives into platform capability requirements and ensure alignment with regulatory, operational, security, and strategic needs.
• Collaborate with business leaders, architects, engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to drive cross-functional alignment and informed technology decisions.
• Develop executive presentations, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting materials that support leadership reviews, governance forums, steering committees, and strategic decision-making.
• Monitor portfolio performance, roadmap execution, benefit realization, and strategic objectives to ensure delivery of expected business and technology outcomes.
• Support the establishment and adoption of platform standards, policies, governance frameworks, and best practices in partnership with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering teams.
• Facilitate governance reviews, risk assessments, compliance activities, and audit support while promoting consistency in planning, prioritization, and technology management.

Preferred Years of Experience

• 8+ years of experience within an enterprise-scale data organization.
• 8+ years of experience in business analysis, technology strategy, portfolio management, product or platform management, data analytics, or a related discipline.
