Summary

Job Description: Sr. Business Systems Analyst (BSA4)
Contract Duration - 6+ Months
Remote
This role provides senior-level functional support and delivery across PeopleSoft HCM, with a primary focus on Fluid ePerformance, Workforce Administration (WFA), and/or cross-module stabilization and compliance initiatives. The analyst will partner closely with functional, technical, and business teams to support roadmap implementations, monthly release cycles, and/or high-visibility operational needs across UCPath locations.
Involves technology-based analysis of business practices, processes and problems; developing solutions which may involve process design, data and information architecture, software development and policy or procedural changes; creating specifications for systems to meet requirements; validating requirements against needs; designing details of automated systems; developing user interface design; planning and executing unit integration and end-user acceptance testing; may develop training materials for system implementation. May lead cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues.
Essential Functions
  • Applies advanced business analysis concepts to support high-visibility, enterprise-wide PeopleSoft HCM initiatives, balancing roadmap delivery with production stability.
  • Applies advanced business analysis concepts to identify, evaluate and define highly complex systems scope and objectives based on advanced knowledge of applicable business practices, processes and systems and industry standards to meet end-user needs. Works at the highest technical level of various phases of systems analysis. Considers the business implications of applying technology to the current and future business environment.
  • Initiates, designs or modifies highly complex systems and procedures where standardized policies or procedures may or may not exist. Creates highly technical specifications for systems with broad impact at a campus / medical center / OP or within a large organization. Develops unit integration and acceptance testing plans and scenarios. May lead cross-functional teams to address complex business or systems issues.
  • Initiates, facilitates, implements and documents work process changes. Prepares and approves or obtains approval for business process and procedural documentation. Initiates and oversees changes in processes and procedures. Sets the technical requirements for complex specifications.
  • Performs highly complex analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system and process requirement specifications. Provides advanced support and training on new applications. Mentors experienced Business Systems Analyst
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of PeopleSoft HCM functional experience, with deep expertise in Workforce Administration
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience supporting PeopleSoft HCM with hands-on functional expertise in Workforce Administration and experience in ePerformance (including Fluid); exposure to TAM and mass compensation processes preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions.
  • Knowledge relating to the design of processes and software across the organization.
  • Advanced skills and methodologies associated with process and software design, modification, and implementation.
  • Experience supporting or testing Fluid PeopleSoft pages, approvals, and end-to-end business processes
  • Familiarity with accessibility concepts (WCAG, functional testing, remediation validation) within enterprise applications
  • Experience supporting production break/fix in parallel with active system enhancements or implementations
  • Demonstrated skills needed to develop process and system implementation plans.
  • Demonstrated experience with process analysis, systems analysis, process architectures and systems analysis methodologies and practices including traditional waterfall, Agile, Agile Scrum, UML, UML Enterprise, et cetera.
  • Understanding and skill in complex process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.
  • Self-motivated and work independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Interpersonal and communications skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
