Job Description

United States Steel - Granite City Works is seeking a Process Engineer - Electrical Distribution Systems. This position will oversee the electrical distribution system of the assigned facility. Perform a full range of process engineer duties across the facility including distribution system operation, maintenance planning/practices, energy balances, instrumentation analysis, and troubleshooting. Learn and/or understand the steelmaking process. Review, revise and update procedures. Analyze complex process data and make recommendations to fine tune operations. Work directly with operating and maintenance personnel to solve problems involving safety, environmental and process issues in the facility.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar fields of study required
  • 2 + years' experience in a manufacturing environment required

Preferred Skills:
  • Preferred candidate will have experience supervising unionized employees in a large industrial/maintenance environment or similar military leadership experience.
  • Electrical Distribution Engineering experience in manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

Base salary range $90,000 - $105,000. This base salary range is a good faith estimate. Based on candidate skills/experience the final offer may be lower/higher.
