Remote, Azure Data Architect - Full Time

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly experienced Cloud Solution Architect (Azure ) to support our core engineering team by designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Azure ecosystem, Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, and modern data lakehouse architecture using ADLS Gen1/Gen2 and Delta tables.

This role requires close collaboration with engineering leadership to define architecture standards, improve platform performance, and support CI/CD best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end cloud data architecture leveraging Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric

• Architect scalable data Lakehouse solutions using ADLS Gen1/Gen2 and Delta Tables

• Develop and optimize PySpark-based data processing pipelines

• Define architecture standards for data ingestion, transformation, and storage

• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows

• Provide guidance on cloud networking architecture and security best practices

• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform scalability and reliability

• Support migration and modernization of legacy data platforms to Azure

• Ensure best practices for performance optimization, cost optimization, and governance

• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Cloud Architecture

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure

• Expertise in Microsoft Fabric

• Strong experience with PySpark

• Experience working with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen1 & Gen2)

• Hands-on experience with Delta Lake / Delta Tables

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)

• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts

• Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms

• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in lakehouse architecture

• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer)

• Experience working in enterprise engineering environments

• Exposure to Databricks is a plus
