Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Jacksonville, FL
We are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team and serve as a strategic partner to the CEO. This executive role is responsible for driving the company’s financial vision, long-term growth strategy, and overall financial performance within a Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance environment.
The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in the P&C insurance industry, with deep expertise in statutory accounting, GAAP reporting, reinsurance, treasury management, capital planning, regulatory compliance, and enterprise financial strategy. Prior executive leadership experience within a P&C carrier and a CPA designation are strongly preferred.
Key responsibilities include leading all accounting and finance functions, overseeing statutory and GAAP financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, taxation, investments, reinsurance strategy, and regulatory engagements. The CFO will collaborate closely with regulators, auditors, actuaries, reinsurers, investment partners, rating agencies, and executive stakeholders to ensure financial stability, compliance, and sustainable growth.
This leader will play a critical role in strategic decision-making, evaluating growth opportunities, improving operational performance, managing enterprise risk, and supporting organizational scalability. The successful candidate must possess exceptional executive presence, leadership capabilities, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- CPA strongly preferred
- 15+ years of financial leadership experience in Property & Casualty Insurance
- Executive-level leadership experience within a P&C insurance carrier preferred
- Deep expertise in SAP, GAAP, statutory accounting, regulatory reporting, and insurance financial operations
- Extensive reinsurance experience
- Strong knowledge of NAIC regulations, state insurance compliance, taxation, treasury, and capital management
- Experience with strategic planning, operational scaling, and organizational growth initiatives
