About the Role

This role focuses on FPGA development for advanced R&D programs supporting ground test equipment for space missions. The engineer will design, automate, and optimize FPGA-based solutions while collaborating across hardware, software, test, and systems teams. The position involves end-to-end contribution to high-speed digital products, from design through integration and testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and integrate FPGA-based solutions for high-speed digital systems
  • Implement system-on-chip (SoC) architectures on FPGA platforms
  • Develop scripts and automation to improve FPGA development efficiency
  • Perform design, simulation, verification, and validation of complex digital designs
  • Collaborate with test, integration, software, systems, and digital circuit design teams
  • Support development of ground test equipment for space mission applications
  • Contribute to high-speed networking and communication architectures
  • Participate in integration, debug, and system-level testing activities
  • Document design approaches, test results, and development processes


Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with high-speed digital design and communication systems on FPGA platforms
  • Experience developing, testing, and integrating FPGA-based SoC solutions
  • Strong experience with Xilinx UltraScale FPGA platforms
  • Proficiency with Xilinx Vivado tool suite
  • Fluency in VHDL for FPGA design and development


Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Verilog or SystemVerilog
  • Experience with SpaceWire protocols
  • Python scripting experience for automation or tooling
