About the Role

This role focuses on FPGA development for advanced R&D programs supporting ground test equipment for space missions. The engineer will design, automate, and optimize FPGA-based solutions while collaborating across hardware, software, test, and systems teams. The position involves end-to-end contribution to high-speed digital products, from design through integration and testing.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and integrate FPGA-based solutions for high-speed digital systems
Implement system-on-chip (SoC) architectures on FPGA platforms
Develop scripts and automation to improve FPGA development efficiency
Perform design, simulation, verification, and validation of complex digital designs
Collaborate with test, integration, software, systems, and digital circuit design teams
Support development of ground test equipment for space mission applications
Contribute to high-speed networking and communication architectures
Participate in integration, debug, and system-level testing activities
Document design approaches, test results, and development processes

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with high-speed digital design and communication systems on FPGA platforms
Experience developing, testing, and integrating FPGA-based SoC solutions
Strong experience with Xilinx UltraScale FPGA platforms
Proficiency with Xilinx Vivado tool suite
Fluency in VHDL for FPGA design and development

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Working knowledge of Verilog or SystemVerilog
Experience with SpaceWire protocols
Python scripting experience for automation or tooling
