Position Overview Citadel Security USA is hiring dependableSecurity Officers to provide coverage at multiple client locations throughout the Columbia area. This position is designed for individuals who enjoy variety in their workday and can adapt to changing schedules, different assignments, and diverse work environments.
As a Security Officer, you will help protect client facilities, employees, visitors, and property while providing professional customer service and maintaining a visible security presence.
Primary Responsibilities Security Operations - Provide security coverage at multiple assigned client locations.
- Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols to identify safety or security concerns.
- Monitor buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding property.
- Help prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security risks.
- Respond appropriately to incidents and follow established site procedures.
Observation & Reporting - Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual conditions.
- Complete clear, accurate, and timely daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Communicate important information to supervisors and client representatives.
- Document security concerns while maintaining confidentiality.
Customer Service - Maintain a courteous and professional presence at every assignment.
- Assist visitors, employees, and vendors when appropriate.
- Answer questions and provide directions while maintaining security awareness.
- Represent Citadel Security USA with professionalism and integrity.
Coverage - Work a variety of shifts based on operational needs.
- Travel between different client locations as assigned.
- Learn and follow site-specific post orders and procedures.
- Adapt quickly to new environments while maintaining consistent performance.
Minimum Qualifications - Valid driver's license.
- Acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Reliable transportation to travel between assigned work locations.
- Ability to workdays, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to successfully pass all required background screening.
Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience in security, customer service, military, or law enforcement.
- Concealed Carry Permit (preferred but not required).
- Experience working multiple sites or flexible security assignments.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Work Environment - Assignments may include office buildings, commercial properties, industrial facilities, or other client locations.
- Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Frequent walking, standing, and routine patrols.
- Schedule and work location may vary based on client coverage needs.
