Help Desk Technician

Our client is a well-established organization supporting a large user base across multiple locations nationwide. They are looking for a Help Desk Technician to join a collaborative, distributed IT team and serve as a frontline resource for end users. This is a long-term contract opportunity with a stable, growing environment - an excellent entry point for an early-career IT professional ready to build hands-on experience.

Job Type: Contract (Long Term)

Location: Boca Raton, FL (Onsite)

Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $20-22/hour

What You'll Do:


  • Field and document incoming help requests from end users via phone and email, tracking each issue through to full resolution
  • Perform hands-on desktop support including software and hardware installation, system configuration, and file backups
  • Troubleshoot issues using available resources including knowledge bases, software updates, and driver repositories
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals and perform post-resolution follow-ups
  • Develop end-user help sheets and FAQ documentation to support ongoing issue prevention

What Gets You the Job:


  • Experience or coursework in IT, help desk support, or infrastructure - entry-level candidates with a BS in an IT-related field are encouraged to apply
  • Hands-on familiarity with Windows environments and desktop-level troubleshooting
  • Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with end users across phone and email channels
  • Strong documentation habits with attention to tracking and resolving issues thoroughly
  • Familiarity with Okta, Jira, or Google Workspace is a plus
