Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Informatica Data Governance Engineer with Data Governance expertise to design, develop, and support enterprise data integration, data quality, metadata management, and governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with the Informatica platform, including data integration and governance tools, and a deep understanding of data management best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT solutions using Informatica PowerCenter, IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services), or IDMC.
  • hands-on production experience with scanning, cataloging, lineage, classification, and Data ProductsInformatica Profiling hands-on experience running and interpreting data profiling in Informatica to assess data quality, completeness, and patterns across scanned assets
  • Informatica Data Products & Marketplace defining, publishing, and managing data products
  • NoSQL scanning solutions proven ability to implement metadata ingestion for sources without native Informatica connectors
  • Non-SQL databases MongoDB and AWS DocumentDB: schema structures, connection methods, metadata extraction
  • API scanning cataloging REST APIs and microservices as governed assets in Informatica CDGC
  • Event processing integrating Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or equivalent into a data catalog for lineage and governance
  • Implement and support Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data stewards, architects, and analysts to define governance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data lineage, business glossaries, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories.
  • Implement data quality rules, profiling, monitoring, and remediation processes using Informatica tools.
  • Support Master Data Management (MDM) and reference data initiatives.
  • Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory data governance standards.
  • Optimize ETL workflows and troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Work closely with cloud and data platform teams to integrate governance controls across enterprise systems.
