Summary
Overview:
- Seeking a Senior WebSphere Developer/Architect with extensive experience migrating enterprise Java applications from Traditional WebSphere Application Server (tWAS) to Open Liberty/WebSphere Liberty.
- This is a hands-on modernization role supporting a large-scale migration of 20+ enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Migrate enterprise Java applications from Traditional WebSphere to Open Liberty/WebSphere Liberty.
- Analyze and remediate application code and configuration issues.
- Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize Liberty environments.
- Perform application health checks, performance analysis, and tuning.
- Support application deployment from non-production to production.
- Collaborate with application teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Create technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience with Traditional WebSphere Application Server (tWAS).
- Proven experience migrating applications to Open Liberty/WebSphere Liberty.
- Strong Java development experience.
- Enterprise application modernization and migration expertise.
- WebSphere configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Experience working directly with application development teams.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
