Summary

Role: Electrical project Engineer or Electric Project Manager

Role Summary:

The Senior Electrical Project Engineer will lead the electrical scope for a large-scale pharmaceutical capital project. This role requires strong project management leadership combined with deep electrical engineering expertise. The candidate will act as the owner’s representative, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance while driving schedule and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the electrical scope for the entire site, including high and low voltage systems, power distribution, lighting, lightning protection, and automation/control systems.
  • Provide leadership in mega project execution, ensuring adherence to project goals, timelines, and budget.
  • Develop and manage detailed schedules using Primavera P6 and cost/risk/change management tools  .
  • Apply Fluor guidelines for project execution and compliance.
  • Oversee commissioning activities, ensuring proper sequencing of tests and safe-to-operate conditions.
  • Collaborate with construction managers, agencies, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Maintain rigorous quality and risk management practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support procurement and vendor management for major electrical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
 
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in electrical engineering and project management for large-scale capital projects ($50M+ scope).
    • Proven experience in brownfield projects preferred.
    • Pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience strongly desired; medical device experience acceptable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong project management skillset (scheduling, cost control, risk management).
    • Proficiency in Primavera P6, cost/risk/change management tools (Unifier), and commissioning processes.
    • Understanding of electrical system testing, sequencing, and commissioning activities.
  • Certifications:
    • OSHA 30 preferred.
    • PE License desirable.
