Junior QA

Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Automation QA Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in manual and automated testing, a willingness to learn new technologies, and experience working in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to ensure product quality.
• Execute manual test cases when required and validate application functionality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to test planning, test case creation, and automation framework enhancements.
• Support CI/CD testing and ensure timely delivery of quality software.

Required Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in Software Testing or QA Automation.
• Basic knowledge of Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python.
• Understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC.
• Experience writing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Basic knowledge of REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Familiarity with SQL for data validation.
• Experience using Git and defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
• Exposure to mobile automation or performance testing is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in automation testing and quality engineering.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
