Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer / Automation Tester with deep expertise in Selenium-based functional automation testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in core testing principles, hands-on experience in building scalable automation frameworks, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver

• Build and enhance automation frameworks (data-driven, hybrid, BDD)

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing

• Analyze business requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to clarify requirements

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives)

• Perform API testing (manual and automated)

• Manage defect tracking, root cause analysis, and impact assessment

• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines

• Provide test coverage analysis and quality metrics reporting

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in QA and software testing

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and automation tools

• Strong programming skills in Java (preferred), C#, or Python

• Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch

• Strong understanding of functional testing principles

• Experience with TestNG / JUnit / NUnit, Maven / Gradle, and Git

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)

• Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured)

• Strong SQL skills for backend validation

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Strong knowledge of test planning, strategy, and design techniques

• Experience with regression and risk-based testing

• Ability to independently own testing for features/modules

• Strong defect lifecycle management experience

• Ability to think from an end-user perspective

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)

• Experience with Selenium Grid and parallel execution

• Experience testing cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure)

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter)

• Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker)

• Exposure to DevOps practices and shift-left testing

• Experience with microservices architecture testing

• Basic knowledge of security testing
