Hybrid Onsite in Providence, RI area.

The Senior UX Designer/Developer will design and develop external web experiences for our client using Wix Studio, modern front-end technologies, and CMS optimization. The role will balance UX design, accessibility, SEO, and performance to deliver high-quality webpages and digital experiences. The position collaborates closely with designers, producers, and communications partners to translate concepts into accessible, responsive user interfaces. The work will include prototyping, testing, and continuous improvement of external sites within established brand guidelines.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $55.00 to $45.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, optimize, and maintain external-facing webpages and digital experiences using Wix Studio and CMS tools.
  • Collaborate with designers, producers, and communications partners from concept through completion.
  • Create custom mockups and prototypes and execute front-end development for approved designs.
  • Bridge graphic design and technical implementation to align with brand guidelines.
  • Ensure accessibility compliance and responsive behavior across all viewports.
  • Conduct regular user testing and research to optimize site performance.
  • Routinely test for ease of use, speed, and quality factors and perform site audits and maintenance as needed.
  • Apply SEO best practices and CMS optimization techniques to improve discoverability and performance.

Experience Requirements:
  • 6 to 8+ years of experience in web development and UX, with a focus on external websites.
  • Expert knowledge of building websites and digital experiences using Wix Studio.
  • Proven front-end and back-end development and optimization experience within CMS platforms.
  • Strong proficiency with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, React, Angular, and Figma.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices.
  • Experience optimizing web accessibility.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage projects, meet deadlines, and handle multiple initiatives with attention to detail.
  • Professional communication skills to articulate goals and ideas to senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Understanding of design fundamentals, including color theory, layout, and typography.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (preferred).
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities to conceptualize issues and implement action plans.
  • Capacity to work under tight deadlines while maintaining an organized workflow.
  • Active listening skills and ability to integrate feedback and collaborate effectively.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in web design, computer science, or a related developer discipline.
