Summary

Job Description
We are seeking a Level 1 Data Center Technician to support installation projects within a fast-paced data center environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in physically demanding work who are looking to learn a new trade and build a long-term career in a growing industry.
No prior telecom experience is required. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn. If you have experience in construction, general labor, the trades, military service, or other hands-on environments, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
What You'll Do
  • Pull and route cabling throughout the data center
  • Assemble, stack, and drill racks and equipment cabinets
  • Scan, label, and port equipment according to project standards
  • Assist experienced technicians with installation activities
  • Operate safely while working on ladders and scissor lifts
  • Use hand tools and installation equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Support additional installation tasks as directed by experience technicians

What You Bring
  • Experience working in physically demanding environments such as construction, trades, military, manufacturing, or general labor
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Reliable attendance and proven dependability
  • Ability to work on ladders and lifts throughout a 10-hour shift
  • Ability to work outdoors during both hot and cold weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Safety-focused mindset
  • Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced team environment

Nice to Have
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Low-voltage installation experience
  • Cable pulling experience
  • Telecommunications or structured cabling experience
  • Hands-on electrical experience
  • Military Experience
  • Experience operating scissor lifts

Schedule
  • Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Overtime may be required based on project needs
  • Candidates must be willing and able to work overtime when needed
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ridgeville, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
