Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Architect in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead data discovery and assessment with application owners, R&D/Engineering SMEs, technical teams, and data owners to identify migration and purging requirements
* Assess databases, file repositories, document stores, interfaces, and other data sources, and establish inventories of data requiring migration, retention, archival, or purging
* Translate Client-approved data purging requirements into executable technical rules, including selection criteria, filters, exclusions, dependencies, and expected results
* Assess data and object dependencies, including parent/child relationships and referential integrity, to prevent unintended impacts during migration or purging
* Perform data profiling and quality assessments and establish pre- and post-purge validation and reconciliation criteria
* Define and lead the end-to-end data migration approach, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, validation, reconciliation, and exception handling
* Develop and execute SQL scripts, ETL processes, APIs, stored procedures, and application-specific migration/purging utilities, including code reviews and non-production testing
* Support SIT/UAT, production cutover, and post-go-live hypercare, resolving data migration, quality, reconciliation, and production issues
* Maintain traceability and provide program leadership with clear reporting on data readiness, migration progress, purge results, reconciliation, risks, issues, and dependencies

REQUIREMENTS:
* 12 -15 years of experience in data migration, data engineering, ETL, database development, data conversion, or enterprise application migration
* Demonstrated experience leading data workstreams for large-scale application migration, separation, divestiture, carve-out, or transformation programs
* Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or equivalent
* Experience developing and executing data migration and data-purging scripts
* Experience with data profiling, cleansing, transformation, mapping, validation, and reconciliation
* Experience handling complex parent/child and object dependencies
* Experience migrating structured and unstructured data, including documents/files where applicable
* Experience designing reconciliation frameworks and control totals
* Experience conducting mock migrations and production cutovers
* Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration methodologies
* Strong understanding of relational data models and referential integrity
* Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
