We are looking for a skilled software engineer with deep understanding of a technical system, leading the evolution of its architecture as well as contributing infrastructure code for it in the service of other teams and systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of backend system architecture and experience optimizing and working with large databases. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, collaborate across teams, and demonstrate creativity in solving tough problems with a solid focus on the customer experience. Adaptability, innovation, and a passion for backend systems are key to success in this role.

BS in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent job-related experience\n5+ years experience in a software engineering role\nProficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, C/C++, or similar\nExperience designing and building backend systems like services, APIs, job pipelines, automation tools or other

Solid understanding of Linux systems fundamentals (processes, networking basics, troubleshooting)\nStrong software engineering fundamentals such as data structures, debugging, code quality etc.\nFamiliarity with engineering best practices such as version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, unit/integration testing, code reviews, configuration management\nExperience dealing with large database problems and scaling techniques a plus.\nExperience with DNS protocols, systems, and best practices\nExperience with production operations such as incident response, monitoring, and on-call\nKnowledge of databases and caching systems (SQL/NoSQL, Redis, etc.)\nExperience working in large-scale, multi-region environments
