Job Title: Senior HRIS Analyst (Workday)

Location: Rockville, MD or McLean, VA (Hybrid 3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension) Interview Process: Prescreen Phone Onsite Panel

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst to support and enhance the Workday platform across the enterprise. This role combines hands-on production support with enhancement delivery, partnering closely with HR, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure system reliability, data integrity, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Operations & Support

  • Provide day-to-day production support including issue resolution and system maintenance
  • Support core modules: Core HCM, Talent, Performance, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, and Reporting
  • Partner with HR stakeholders on system processes and best practices
  • Manage ticket queues and resolve system/data/user issues

Data Management & Reporting

  • Lead data quality initiatives (audits, root cause analysis, remediation)
  • Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Develop reports and dashboards for business insights

Enhancements & Implementation

  • Design, test, and deploy Workday enhancements (business processes, security, integrations)
  • Lead UAT activities including test planning, execution, and defect tracking
  • Support Workday releases, upgrades, and feature rollouts

Integrations & Documentation

  • Support inbound/outbound integrations with third-party systems
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation
  • Maintain documentation, SOPs, and training materials

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of HRIS experience with strong Workday focus
  • 3+ years of hands-on Workday configuration
  • Experience with Core HCM, Talent, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Reporting
  • Experience with EIBs, mass data loads, and data corrections
  • Strong experience in UAT (testing, execution, defect management)
  • Strong understanding of HR data structures and data quality
  • Experience with production support, ticketing, and issue resolution
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday Pro Certifications (Core HCM, Talent, Recruiting, Reporting, Benefits, Compensation)
  • Experience with Phenom (CRM / candidate sourcing)
  • Familiarity with Agile environments
