Location: Hermiston, Oregon (Onsite)
Compensation: $18 hourly
Role Overview
This role supports the operation of a large-scale cloud computing infrastructure. The position requires individuals to monitor inventory levels, ensuring proper stock is maintained for build and repair activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure proper stock is maintained.
- Receive, inventory, and check-out parts to technicians and engineers.
- Load and unload shipments and transport parts between locations.
- Keep precise records of all commodities.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspaces.
- Handle vendor relationships as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Able to read and take direction in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Inventory Management Systems.
- Understanding of inventory control methodology and reverse logistics processes.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Demonstrated positive work attitude and leadership skills.
- Commitment to a culture of safety.
Work Environment
- Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts where the noise level varies and can be loud.
- The temperature is typically between 60 and 90 degrees, and may occasionally exceed 90 degrees.
- Work is occasionally in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
Physical Demands
- Requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to lift loads of up to 49 pounds and may participate in group lifts of 50 pounds or more.
- Willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Continuously climb and descend stairs safely (applies to sites with stairs).
- Regularly walk and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Perform physical tasks throughout the day.
