Role: DOCSIS Network Engineer
Location: Greenwood Village, CO (Onsite - Locals Preferred)
Duration: 6+ months contract

Job Description:

Seeking a Network Engineer with strong experience in DOCSIS or Fiber environments to support testing and validation of CPE devices. The role focuses on engineering (design, build, implementation) rather than operations, with exposure to ISP/MSO environments.

Core Responsibilities

Perform testing and validation of CPE devices and backend systems
Execute test cases, document results, and troubleshoot issues
Support firmware certification and identify defects
Work on provisioning and networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6)
Handle technologies like TR-069, FTTH, IP routing, multicast, and home networking
Assist with automation efforts and test case development

Required Experience

3+ years in network engineering (ISP/MSO preferred)
Hands-on experience with DOCSIS or Fiber (PON/ONU)
Experience with cable modems, routers, or similar CPE devices
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols
Scripting knowledge (Python/Perl) for testing/automation

Nice to Have

DOCSIS certification
Experience with 802.11 wireless testing
Background in automation, databases, or system administration
