Title: SharePoint Developer / Administrator
Job Type: Contract
Location: Remote - must reside in the Denver, CO area for occasional onsite collaboration
Pay Range: $50-$55/hour
Summary
A growing real estate and property operations organization is seeking a SharePoint Developer/Administrator to build and maintain a modern SharePoint Online environment. This role will be responsible for creating a new intranet platform, transferring content from older systems, and ensuring the environment is optimized, user-friendly, and aligned with business needs. This person will also serve as the internal go to expert for SharePoint configuration, training, and best practices across Microsoft 365 tools.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy a new SharePoint Online intranet solution tailored to organizational workflows.
- Oversee and execute the migration of content from legacy CMS platforms and existing SharePoint sites.
- Develop and configure page layouts, site templates, lists, libraries, permission structures, and automated workflows.
- Manage day to day SharePoint administration including security, access management, site maintenance, and platform updates.
- Ensure seamless integration between SharePoint and Microsoft 365 apps such as Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook.
- Provide end user training, documentation, and support to enhance adoption and usability.
- Partner with internal groups to understand functional requirements and enhance user experience.
- Contribute to governance standards, documentation guidelines, and long-term platform strategy.
Skills
- 3-7+ years of experience working with SharePoint Online in both development and administrative capacities.
- Strong background in Microsoft 365 ecosystem and cloud-based environments.
- Experience migrating content from older or custom CMS platforms.
- Proficiency with Power Automate, Power Apps, and modern SharePoint customization tools.
- Expertise in permissioning models, workflows, intranet design, and site structure optimization.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support, train, and guide non-technical users.
- Familiarity with governance, documentation, and best practices for SharePoint site management.
