Director, Engineering Lead - Portfolio Performance Reporting

Job Description

The Engineering Lead for Portfolio Performance Reporting will lead the design, development, and delivery of technology solutions that support portfolio performance reporting capabilities for Wealth Management. This role partners closely with product, business, data, and engineering stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and efficient reporting solutions that enable accurate performance measurement, data transparency, and informed decision-making. The role also supports the adoption of AI-enabled development practices and intelligent solutions to improve engineering efficiency, reporting capabilities, and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design and delivery of portfolio performance reporting solutions for Wealth Management.

• Partner with business and product stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Oversee the development, enhancement, and support of reporting platforms, data pipelines, and integrated applications.

• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of portfolio performance data and reporting outputs.

• Drive platform stability, performance optimization, and ongoing modernization efforts.

• Collaborate with data, architecture, and platform teams to support end-to-end solution delivery.

• Promote strong software engineering practices, including code quality, testing, release management, and operational support.

• Support the use of AI-based development tools and automation capabilities to enhance development productivity and solution quality.

• Identify opportunities to incorporate AI and advanced analytics capabilities into reporting and engineering workflows where appropriate.

• Support risk, control, governance, and compliance requirements across the reporting technology environment, including responsible technology use.

• Mentor engineers and help foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Required Qualifications

• 12 plus years' experience in software engineering, application development, or technology delivery roles.

• Experience leading engineering teams or major technology workstreams.

• Strong understanding of reporting platforms, data integration, and enterprise application development.

• Experience working with portfolio, investment, or financial reporting data.

• Experience with AI-based development practices, intelligent automation, or the use of AI-assisted engineering tools.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across business, product, data, and technology teams.

• Strong problem-solving, delivery management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting portfolio performance reporting, investment reporting, or Wealth Management technology platforms.

• Familiarity with financial services data domains, reporting controls, and operational processes.

• Experience with modern data architecture, cloud-based platforms, and API-driven solutions.

• Knowledge of Agile delivery practices and engineering lifecycle management.

• Exposure to machine learning, generative AI, or data-driven intelligent solution development in enterprise environments.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
