Job Details

Unleash your potential by joining our dynamic team as a Concrete Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a robust understanding of the Construction industry. You will be responsible for project take offs, compiling estimates, drafting proposals, budgeting, and negotiating bids for a variety of projects, including government, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
2. Preparing detailed estimates for our construction projects, including the use of concrete, labor, equipment, and materials.
3. Managing the bidding process, including the preparation of detailed cost estimates, draft proposals, and hard bids.
4. Implementing cost-effective solutions and project strategies to stay within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
5. Conducting risk management assessments to identify potential operational or financial risks.
6. Communicating with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to discuss cost estimates and resolve cost discrepancies.
7. Participating in the negotiation and preparation of construction contracts.
8. Utilizing specialized software for project take-off and estimation.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry as a Concrete Estimator or in a similar role.
2. Proven experience in concrete focused, commercial and industrial projects ranging from $2M to $12M in project value.
3. A solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
4. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills to calculate and estimate costs accurately.
5. Strong negotiation skills to ensure cost-effective contracts and bids.
6. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in using estimation software and other industry-related tools.
8. A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
