Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to support the completion of a global, business-critical application built on the ServiceNow App Engine platform. This custom scoped application is used by field operations teams across multiple international locations to capture and manage operational observations, guest experience concerns, attraction issues, and service-related feedback. The application was originally developed in Microsoft Power Apps and is being re-platformed to ServiceNow to improve scalability, maintainability, and long-term support. The platform is approximately 80% complete, and this resource will play a key role in delivering the remaining functionality, troubleshooting existing code, enhancing the user experience, supporting testing efforts, and preparing the solution for production deployment. This role requires a hands-on developer who can quickly understand existing code written by another engineer, independently investigate issues, and deliver high-quality solutions within an accelerated timeline. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with ServiceNow App Engine, custom scripting, frontend development, UI configuration, and application troubleshooting.
Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesServiceNow Development & Enhancement- Enhance and complete a custom scoped application built within ServiceNow App Engine.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and modify existing code developed by previous resources.
- Develop and maintain:
- Client Scripts
- Business Rules
- UI Policies
- UI Actions
- Script Includes
- Flow Designer workflows
- Form logic and validations
- Create and modify custom screens, workflows, buttons, and conditional logic throughout the application.
- Support the development of location-specific user experiences and views to accommodate varying operational requirements across multiple sites.
User Interface & Front-End Development- Improve application usability and user experience across existing screens and forms.
- Modify frontend components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ServiceNow platform capabilities.
- Ensure screens, navigation paths, and workflows function correctly across multiple business scenarios.
- Implement dynamic form behaviors and conditional logic based on user selections and operational processes.
Testing & Quality Assurance- Perform regression testing on existing functionality and enhancements.
- Investigate defects and validate fixes before deployment.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by troubleshooting and resolving issues identified by business users.
- Collaborate with project leadership to prioritize and address defects throughout testing cycles.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer- Document application architecture, configurations, workflows, and business logic.
- Create technical documentation to support future maintenance and enhancements.
- Provide knowledge transfer materials for internal stakeholders and future support teams.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with project managers and stakeholders.
- Investigate and troubleshoot existing ServiceNow application functionality.
- Develop custom scripts and UI enhancements within App Engine.
- Modify workflows, validations, navigation paths, and business logic.
- Perform testing and regression validation across existing and newly developed functionality.
- Support data migration and data validation efforts.
- Address UAT feedback and resolve application defects.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Partner with business and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications- 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow App Engine and custom scoped application development.
- Deep expertise in Custom Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Flows.
- Strong frontend development experience within ServiceNow.
- Experience troubleshooting and enhancing applications developed by other engineers.
- Experience creating custom forms, screens, workflows, and business logic.
- Strong JavaScript development skills.
- Experience with HTML and CSS customization within ServiceNow.
- Experience performing regression testing and production readiness validation.
- Experience supporting data migration initiatives through custom scripting.
