How You Will Make An Impact
- Manage and support municipal water and wastewater engineering projects from planning through design and construction phases.
- Develop, review, and refine project scopes while coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Provide technical engineering support for water distribution, wastewater collection, treatment, and utility infrastructure projects.
- Utilize engineering principles, design tools, and technical documentation practices to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects meet schedule, quality, safety, and regulatory expectations.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering memoranda, presentations, and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers, designers, technicians, and administrative team members while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, community partners, and regulatory organizations.
Do you bring proven success in water and wastewater engineering project delivery?
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in South Carolina required.
- 5+ years of experience supporting municipal water and wastewater engineering projects.
- Strong experience with water and wastewater system planning, design, and construction.
- Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure including water mains, booster pump stations, gravity sewer systems, lift stations, force mains, treatment facilities, hydraulic modeling, and master planning.
- Experience using engineering design tools such as AutoCAD and GIS.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements, solve engineering challenges, and apply sound technical judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
