SAP PP/QM Functional Consultant (Manufacturing & Quality Management)

Location: Raritan, NJ (Hybrid)

Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced SAP PP/QM Functional Consultant with strong expertise in manufacturing and quality management processes. The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM), along with strong business analysis capabilities and hands-on configuration experience. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, conducting workshops, designing end-to-end process flows, and supporting implementations and enhancements across global projects.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed business analysis and design end-to-end (E2E) business process flows.
• Conduct requirement gathering workshops and facilitate cross-functional discussions across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system configurations.
• Design, configure, customize, and test SAP PP and QM solutions.
• Perform gap analysis and recommend effective solutions or system enhancements.
• Support full project lifecycle activities including blueprinting, realization, SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare support.
• Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, integration, BASIS) for RICEFW developments and issue resolution.
• Manage transports, including emergency fixes for high-priority production issues.
• Develop functional design documents, test scripts, and user manuals.
• Conduct user training sessions and provide post-go-live support.
• Proactively suggest business process improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Participate in project management activities including scope, timeline, risk, and stakeholder management.
• Plan and execute cutover strategies and data migration activities.
• Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge sharing within the team.

Experience:

• Strong experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) including:

• Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
• Work Centers and Routings
• Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Production Orders / Process Orders
• Capacity Planning

• Strong experience in SAP Quality Management (QM) including:

• Inspection Planning
• Quality Notifications
• Inspection Lots and Results Recording
• Certificates of Analysis (COA)
• Quality inspections during procurement, production, and delivery

• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and supply chain operations.
• Experience performing requirement gathering, gap analysis, and system configuration.
• Hands-on experience in unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and go-live support.
• Strong documentation skills (functional specifications, test cases, results documentation).
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
• Ability to act as liaison between business users and technical teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in cutover planning and data migration activities.
