SaaS Account Executive

ABOUT US:

We are an early-stage SaaS startup helping transform how patients and doctors interact and communicate about the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. With our product live with several early-adopting customers and extensive clinical pilot and publication support, we are ready to move to the next phase of our GTM strategy and execution. We’re hiring a Founding AE to build our outbound motion, close new health systems, oncology care providers, and life science partners as we seek to scale our offerings.

As the Founding Account Executive, you will function as the team’s first true sales hire. You will be hands-on and involved in every part of the sales cycle, while also helping systematize the process and craft the messaging. You''ll have the chance to shadow and work with the CEO and executive team, gaining visibility and the ability to impact conversions. You will also play a key role outside of direct sales in supporting the company''s efforts to open new lines of business and access new industries. As a small and dynamic team, your GTM & sales input and feedback will help shape activities across other key areas such as product, engineering, and marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Full-Cycle Sales Ownership. Drive end-to-end sales—inbound and outbound prospecting, product demos, proposals, negotiation, and contract signing—to achieve monthly ACV targets.
• Pipeline Building & Management. Keep CRM organized and operational: build a healthy pipeline, ensure data hygiene, and maintain accurate forecasting and visibility for yourself and the executive team.
• Demo & Process Standardization. Create and refine the sales playbook—pilot agreements, scripts, slide decks, outreach templates, contracts, and onboarding checklists—to ensure an efficient, first-class, and repeatable pre-sale experience.
• Sales Materials Development. Build your own messaging, playbooks, and collateral from scratch and iterate quickly based on results.
• Collaborate on Outreach Strategy. Partner with the CEO and executive team to craft targeted outreaches, LinkedIn campaigns, and content-driven playbooks that drive demo requests and conversions. Likely using our own platform.
• Pilot Management & Success. Lead pilot engagements: structure campaigns, track metrics, get users to early wins, and negotiate pilot extensions and upsells.
• Feedback Loop. Capture and share customer insights, including feature requests, usability notes, and competitive intelligence, to inform product roadmap and marketing messaging.
• Support the CEO and executive team''s business development efforts as we expand into new commercial lines across the life sciences, pharma, payor, technology, and other key industries.
• Ensure privacy, security, and compliance policies, procedures, and processes are adhered to in order to meet legal and contractual obligations
• And other duties as assigned

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 to 5+ years of sales experience in healthcare (health system sales, pharma, life sciences, payers, health system administration, or healthcare investment banking)
• Experience as Founding AE or initial sale hire at a health tech startup
• Hunter mentality with comfort doing cold outreach and self-sourcing pipeline
• Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity with high agency and ownership
• Experience multi-threading deals across clinical, IT, procurement, and executive stakeholders
• Comfortable owning CRM hygiene and weekly pipeline reporting
• MUST BE East Coast-based in Florida, North Carolina, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, or Ohio.
• Travel 1-2 times per month is required, so living close to an airport is a must.
