We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Audit Accountant to join our high-performing team. This is a permanent role that offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of clients within an established, reputable firm in the Accounting and Finance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various audit and accounting projects, conducting year-end close processes, and preparing financial statements. This role requires an individual with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the completion of audit engagements in a wide variety of industries and assume responsibility for client satisfaction.
• Plan and schedule engagements, determine the audit approach, and prepare engagement budgets.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, review their work for sufficiency of scope and accuracy, and prepare audit reports.
• Conduct year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complies with regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring they are accurate and comply with accounting standards.
• Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to managers and partners.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current accounting and audit practices through continuing professional education and by reading professional publications.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients, and strive for high levels of client service.
• Participate in business development efforts to attract new clients and build existing relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience in a public accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
• Proficiency in year-end close processes and preparation of financial statements.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including proficiency in US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB rules and standards.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
