RF Electronics Technician
W2H Contract
Duration: 12 months
Location: Schaumburg IL (100% onsite)
Pay Rate: $30/hr
We’re looking for an experienced technician to support our radio and repeater systems in a hands-on, long-term role.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair 2-way radios and repeater systems.
Build and modify cable assemblies based on project needs.
Rework and repair circuits, including very small components (0201 parts, SOICs, BGAs).
Test radios and repeaters to meet certification and compliance standards.
Track and document prototype units throughout development.
Read and follow schematics and PCB layouts accurately.
Stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Skills

Associate’s Degree in Electronics or related field.
4+ years of experience repairing and troubleshooting radio circuits (RF experience required).
Skilled with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
Expert soldering and rework skills with small components (0201, SOIC, BGA).
Ability to work with fine-gauge wire (32 AWG or smaller).
Experience with design tools such as Cadence Allegro, HDL, and PCB Layout Editor.
Familiar with LabVIEW; Python is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.
Interest in radio technology and learning advanced RF skills.
