Java Backend Engineer , SQL
Location: Bentonville, AR (Hybrid Onsite Day 1)
We are seeking highly skilled Java Backend Engineers to join a fast-paced team supporting enterprise-scale retail and insurance platforms. This is a hands-on development role focused on building and enhancing scalable microservices and backend systems in a high-impact environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and distributed systems, along with a deep understanding of backend architecture and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and microservices
- Build and enhance Java-based applications using Spring Boot
- Develop and integrate event-driven systems using Kafka
- Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases to support application needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit
- Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and architectural decisions
- Troubleshoot and optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability
