Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer who can design cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, manage Kubernetes environments, improve application reliability, and collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and passionate about automation, cloud technologies, reliability, and continuous improvement.

 

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team of Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers building digital products that support millions of customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Kubernetes, automation, security, and DevOps engineering across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure and backend applications across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure cloud environments.
  • Automate and streamline DevOps processes, deployment workflows, and operational activities.
  • Work closely with DevOps and Engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable applications.
  • Manage and build CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain SLOs, SLIs, and operational standards.
  • Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, and other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting high-availability digital applications.
  • Implement security patching, vulnerability management, and change management across cloud environments.
  • Install, configure, and maintain DevOps tools including GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, Jenkins, and other CI/CD platforms.
  • Work with AWS Lambda, EKS, ECS, Fargate, EC2, S3, and other AWS services.
  • Develop automation and operational tooling using Python, Node.js, or Java.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure performance using tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Splunk, and ELK Stack.
  • Partner with RunOps teams to support production automation, incident resolution, and operational reliability.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, performance optimization, and production support.
  • Promote SRE best practices, observability, reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud computing, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience with cloud platforms, microservices architecture, CI/CD, containers, and DevOps principles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including Lambda, EKS, ECS, Fargate, EC2, S3, and related services.
  • Experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
  • Experience with cloud security, vulnerability management, patching, and change management.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Hands-on programming or scripting experience using Python, Node.js, or Java.
  • Experience with Git and Git-based source control platforms.
  • Experience with SRE concepts, SLOs, SLIs, monitoring, alerting, and observability.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Google Cloud Platform or Azure certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise or retail environments.
  • Experience supporting high-volume, customer-facing digital applications.
  • Knowledge of microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture.
  • Experience with Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, and ELK.
  • Experience working with RunOps/SRE teams and production operations.
