Overview
The organization is investing in modern, scalable data platforms — Snowflake, Oracle Exadata, Talend, Denodo, and Informatica IDMC — to deliver reliable, performant, and trusted analytics at enterprise scale. This role owns the operational health, performance, and evolution of those platforms, enabling DataOps best practices and ensuring they are production-ready, observable, and optimized for cost and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day operation, reliability, and performance of enterprise data platforms
- Implement and evolve DataOps standards, tooling, and operational processes
- Partner with architecture and delivery teams to evaluate and implement new capabilities
- Drive platform optimization across performance, cost, resiliency, and user experience
- Support analytics, data science, and reporting teams with data onboarding and issue resolution
- Ensure platforms are secure, scalable, observable, and production-ready
- Mentor junior engineers and promote platform engineering best practices
Required Skills
- 7+ years in data platform engineering, data infrastructure, and/or analytics platform operations
- 5+ years writing and optimizing complex SQL for analytical and reporting workloads
- 3+ years designing Data Marts with dimensional modeling (facts, dimensions, star/snowflake schemas)
- Experience supporting enterprise data platforms such as Talend, Snowflake, Oracle Exadata, Denodo, and Informatica IDMC
- Proven experience setting up, supporting, and operating enterprise data platforms
- Experience with real-time streaming platforms
- Data virtualization platforms (e.g., Denodo)
- Data catalog platforms (e.g., Informatica IDMC)
- Data observability platforms
- ABAC Security Platform experience
- Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and operational dashboard skills
- Ability to document standards, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Experience supporting releases, upgrades, and platform enhancements
- Collaboration with security and governance teams on access controls and compliance
- Technical guidance across multiple initiatives
