TITLE: Cloud Infrastructure Analyst (Google Cloud Platform)
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA - hybrid 4 days onsite
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 1 year ++
$45-55/hr W2 only - sorry no C2C permitted
Responsibilities:
- Advise, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand requirements and design cloud solutions across a multi-cloud environment.
- Develop and maintain documentation including architecture diagrams, policies, procedures, and runbooks.
- Support cloud networking, including VPC design, subnetting, firewall rules, routing, and hybrid connectivity.
- Identify and mitigate security risks, ensuring platforms are secure, scalable, and compliant.
- Automate and optimize cloud infrastructure for availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) in an enterprise environment.
- Experience designing, implementing, and operating core Google Cloud Platform services such as projects, IAM, VPC networking, compute, storage, and security.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform identity and access management, service accounts, and secure workload authentication.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience supporting production cloud platforms with troubleshooting and operational responsibilities.
Preferred Experience:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or Cloud Infrastructure Analyst working with enterprise SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as AKS, Data Factory, and Databricks.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and concepts.
- Experience with multi-cloud connectivity solutions like Google Cloud Platform Cloud Interconnect, Azure ExpressRoute, and Oracle FastConnect.
- Knowledge of enterprise firewall platforms; Palo Alto firewall experience preferred.
- Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, JSON, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools, including Google Cloud Operations Suite and Azure Monitor.
- Understanding of enterprise governance, DevOps practices, and cloud security controls.
- Familiarity with industry regulatory requirements such as NERC CIP and SOX.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $45.00 to $55.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
