Software Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Developer in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities:
* Software Developer will design, develop, test, and implement enterprise Java applications within an Agile development environment
* Translate technical and business requirements into scalable software solutions
* Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, messaging technologies, and enterprise integration patterns
* Build and maintain automated CI/CD processes using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven
* Create unit tests and support functional, integration, and automated testing activities
* Partner with QA, analysts, infrastructure teams, and other developers to troubleshoot and resolve application issues
* As a Software Developer, you will provide development, testing, production support, and technical problem resolution
* Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, development, deployment, and ongoing enhancements
* Support containerized and cloud-based application environments

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong professional development experience with Java and Spring Boot
* Experience with Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines
* Experience with messaging technologies such as IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, JMS, and JSON
* Experience with relational databases, particularly Oracle; PostgreSQL experience is a plus
* Experience with containers/OpenShift and AWS
* Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux and Tomcat environments
* Knowledge of enterprise protocols and technologies such as HTTP, TCP, XML, distributed caching, and messaging
* Understanding of enterprise Java/J2EE development, object-oriented design, and SOLID principles
* Strong understanding of the SDLC and Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
* Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
* UI or integration development experience with Node.js, NPM, JavaScript, Angular, Apache Camel, or Spring Integration is a plus
* Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace is preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
